Erosion control & site stabilization.

Capitol Concrete coordinates erosion-control and stabilization work as part of site improvements and construction. We review runoff, disturbed areas and the specified requirements before defining installation work.

What we can include.

  • Erosion-control installation within the project scope
  • Drainage and slope-work coordination
  • Geotextile and landscape stabilization work
  • Retaining-wall and grading interfaces

Understand what is moving the soil

A bare slope, a concentrated runoff route and an actively disturbed construction area have different needs. Share when erosion occurs, where material collects and what has changed on the site. Surface appearance alone cannot establish the appropriate stabilization system.

Work from defined requirements

The project may need assessment, specifications or a site-control plan from the appropriate professionals. We establish those responsibilities before installation. Temporary construction controls and permanent landscape stabilization serve different purposes and should be identified separately in the scope.

Connect stabilization to drainage and grading

A retaining wall or geotextile does not remove the need to understand the water route and surrounding grades. We discuss how the proposed work fits the rest of the site, including access, restoration and any maintenance responsibilities after handover.

Pricing the complete scope

What affects the estimate?

Affected area, slope, access, drainage changes, material selection and design requirements influence cost. Temporary controls during construction and permanent work may need different sequencing and separate line items.

Before we meet.

Start with the property address and a description of the work. These details help us prepare for a useful conversation:

  • Photos of erosion and the area uphill from it
  • Available site plans, specifications and drainage information
  • The construction stage, access and desired permanent condition

We discuss the scope and arrange a site visit. Your proposal identifies the included work, responsibilities and project-specific warranty terms. Changes to scope, cost or timing are documented before the changed work begins.

Questions about this work.

All project FAQs
Is a retaining wall always the answer to erosion?

No. A wall, drainage work, grading or other stabilization may be appropriate depending on the site. Assessment should identify the cause and requirements before a construction approach is chosen.

Can you include stabilization with excavation?

Yes. Erosion-control and restoration responsibilities can be included in a defined sitework scope. Send the project requirements and distinguish temporary controls from the permanent improvements you need.
