01 / Project questions

Projects and service area

Concrete, sitework and complete construction for homeowners, commercial owners and general contractors.

Does Capitol Concrete build complete projects or just concrete?

Capitol Concrete does both. Concrete flatwork is our specialty, and we also deliver complete residential and commercial projects, excavation, masonry repairs and general contracting. The proposal defines the work included and the responsibilities of the participating trades.

What kinds of residential projects can Capitol Concrete handle?

Our residential work includes complete garages, barns and additions, driveways, patios, pool surrounds and related outdoor construction. We can discuss the building, concrete and sitework together. For decorative concrete, we review available patterns, colors and textures alongside how you plan to use and care for the space.

Can Capitol Concrete work with commercial owners and general contractors?

Yes. We deliver complete commercial projects and defined concrete or sitework packages for general contractors. Work can include foundations, slabs, complete parking areas, curbs, loading areas, dumpster pads and drive-throughs. The proposal defines our scope and how work will be coordinated with other trades.

Can we contact Capitol Concrete before development plans are complete?

Yes. Developers, property owners and homeowners can contact us while plans are being developed. Share the site, intended use, current planning stage and work you want to discuss. We establish whether the inquiry concerns complete construction, construction management or a defined concrete and sitework package, and what information is needed next.

What areas does Capitol Concrete serve?

Capitol Concrete serves Albany, Saratoga, Schenectady and Rensselaer counties, with service also available in Lake George and Gloversville. Contact us with the project address and scope so we can discuss the work at your property.

Can I discuss basement water or foundation cracks with Capitol Concrete?

Yes. Contact us with the property location, photographs, when the problem appeared and any previous assessment. We discuss the repair or drainage work and whether a qualified engineer or other specialist needs to be involved. Water entry, a cracked floor and a bowed foundation wall can require different assessments and scopes.

02 / Project questions

Estimates and planning

What to bring to the first conversation and what goes into the proposal.

Are consultations and estimates free?

Yes. Capitol Concrete offers a free consultation and a no-obligation estimate. Call (518) 690-6863 or email info@capitolconcrete.com with the project location and scope. We review the details, arrange a site visit as needed and establish the work to be priced.

What information should I provide for an estimate or bid invitation?

Provide the address, a description of the work, approximate size, photographs or available drawings, and your preferred timing. For commercial bids, include the bid deadline, the package to be priced, alternates and operating-site restrictions. Call or email to begin.

What affects the cost of a concrete or construction project?

Cost depends on the agreed scope, existing conditions, preparation, access, finishes and related work. A complete garage, outdoor space or parking-lot project includes more than its concrete surface. Compare proposals for the same work, including removal, drainage, coordination and restoration, so the totals describe comparable projects.

When can work start, and how long will it take?

Timing is discussed after we review the scope and site. Tell us your target date and any bid or operating deadlines. The proposed schedule accounts for the work involved, access, related trades, necessary reviews and concrete curing. We discuss these factors with you before establishing project dates.

How will construction affect access to my home or business?

We discuss access and the work sequence before construction begins. Tell us about entrances, parking, deliveries, household needs and areas that must remain in use. Planning includes work areas, access restrictions and curing time so you understand how the project will affect daily use of the property.

Is financing available for my project?

Ask about financing during your free consultation. We will confirm current availability for your project and explain the applicable process. Financing arrangements and eligibility are considered separately from the construction proposal.

03 / Project questions

Working with Capitol

Project responsibilities, written terms and our company commitments.

Is Capitol Concrete insured and bonded?

Yes. Capitol Concrete is insured and bonded. Let us know what documentation you need for your project, vendor approval or subcontractor review.

Does Capitol Concrete offer warranties?

Yes. Warranty terms for the agreed work are discussed during the consultation and included in the contract. Ask about coverage, exclusions and the care required for your specific project before work begins.

How are changes handled after a proposal is accepted?

Changes are documented in writing with their effects on scope, cost and schedule before the changed work begins. Discuss additions or revisions with us first so their effect on the rest of the project can be reviewed and included in the agreed work.

How will I know what is included and who is responsible?

The proposal identifies the scope, participating trades and project responsibilities. We discuss scheduling and communication as the work is defined, and document changes to cost and timing. This applies whether Capitol Concrete is delivering the complete project or a defined concrete package within a larger job.

Can I visit a Capitol Concrete office to discuss my project?

Please contact us first. Our Albany and Clifton Park locations support operations and materials; project meetings are arranged at your site. Call or email to discuss the work and arrange the appropriate next step.

What is Capitol Concrete’s tree-planting commitment?

Capitol Concrete plants a minimum of 10 trees for every completed job.
