What we can include.

  • Stamped, textured and colored concrete patios
  • Paver areas and transitions between materials
  • Concrete fire pits and gathering spaces
  • Excavation, drainage and connecting steps

Start with how you will use the space

A dining table, a grill and a group of chairs need more than their own footprint. We discuss circulation, door locations, changes in level and the areas you want to connect. A complete outdoor project can bring patio work, paths and excavation into one defined scope instead of treating each surface as an isolated purchase.

Choose a finish that works with the house

Stamp pattern, color, border and texture belong in the proposal alongside the construction work. Compare stamped concrete with paver areas where appropriate, and discuss care before selecting the finish. Appearance alone does not establish traction or maintenance requirements; the selected products and use of the space matter.

Include the work below and around the patio

Existing pavement removal, access for equipment, base preparation, drainage and restoration can change the project substantially. We review how the new surface meets thresholds, lawns and nearby structures. In an Upstate New York yard, water movement and seasonal exposure deserve attention before the decorative finish is selected.

Pricing the complete scope

What affects the estimate?

Size is only one part of a patio estimate. Excavation, removal, site access, changes in elevation, steps, drainage, pattern complexity and adjacent construction all affect the scope. Compare complete proposals rather than a square-foot number that excludes preparation.

Before we meet.

Start with the property address and a description of the work. These details help us prepare for a useful conversation:

  • Approximate dimensions and the activities you want to accommodate
  • Photos of doors, slopes, existing surfaces and equipment access
  • Preferred patterns or materials, and any larger backyard plans

We discuss the scope and arrange a site visit. Your proposal identifies the included work, responsibilities and project-specific warranty terms. Changes to scope, cost or timing are documented before the changed work begins.

Questions about this work.

All project FAQs
Can an existing patio be stamped or resurfaced?

An existing slab needs assessment before a resurfacing system is considered. Movement, deterioration or drainage problems may make replacement more appropriate. We discuss the condition and the proposed finish together rather than assuming a coating will resolve the underlying problem.

Can you build more than the patio?

Yes. We undertake complete residential projects and can include paths, steps, concrete fire pits and related sitework in the agreed scope. Tell us about the whole space at the first conversation so connections and sequencing can be planned.
